Performance and Display (10 inch Tablets)
There are so many specifications that determine how consumers decide which Tablet to ultimately choose. Some consumers might be searching for a cheap or fast Tablet, or simply the best device available. Others might be looking for certain connections, or storage and media capabilities. Our goal in this particular post is to give you a glimpse of which Tablets we consider to have the best overall performance combined with a great display. We’ll also be focusing on 10 inch Tablets only.
Processor speed is essential when deciding which Tablet to pick. However, from what I’ve seen, the faster the Tablet is the more money you’ll have to spend. This might sound like a bad thing, but the last thing we want for you as a consumer to do, is to spend your money on a device that you’ll end up not liking because it’s just too slow.
1) Apple IPAD 3 – 5 Stars
The sleek IPAD 3 features the A5X dual-core processor with quad-core graphics that could be twice as fast as the previous Ipad. This awesome product moves very fast, so if you love speed, this Tablet should be one of the top on your list to coup. The device has a fluid and lively screen that is unrivaled amongst other Tablets.
2) Asus Transformer Prime TF201 – 4 Stars
It’s hard to go wrong with this Tablet as it’s stocked with a superfast, quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. Although the display is great and Asus does boast the IPS+LCD panel, it still didn’t quite measure up with the Ipad in this area. Like we said, it’s still a great display and users should be very happy if they purchase this product.
3) Lenova ThinkPad 1839-25U – 4 Stars
The 1839-25U is stocked with a 1.0 GHZ Arm Cortex A9 dual-core processor. It has an anti-glare screen with a backlit TFT LCD display that brings out pretty good to great images. We consider this Tablet as a middle class tablet if you will. You get a lot of bang for the buck.
4) Motorola Xoom – 4 Stars
Motorola always seems to make great devices and the Xoom is no exception. With a rather modest 1.0 GHZ processor, this Tablet still moves very quickly that will keep users happy. Although not the best, the 800 X 1280 display resolution is extremely clear and friendly.
5) Acer Iconia Tab A500 – 4 Stars
This is an underrated product in our opinion. The A500 has a great specifications and functionality for a super price. If you are on a budget but still want a Tablet with top of the line features, this could be the Tablet for you. Equipped with an old but good 1GB dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, this Tablet allows browsing and video playback to move quickly and smoothly.
6) Sony Tablet S – 3 Stars
Although this particular Tablet has the old 1GZ Nvidia Tegra 2 processor installed, browsing and applications still run very smooth. It’s not as fast as the other top products mentioned, and please note that you might be able to find Tablets with similar specifications for a lower price. We believe Sony has some ground to make up to become a major player in the Tablet wars.
In summary, the Ipad 3 currently leads in the Tablet war as the champion in performance and display. Now does this mean that you should end your shopping around and purchase an Ipad immediately? It depends on what other specifications a user might be looking for. A couple of important factors when choosing a Tablet might be the strength of the Camera, if a USB port present, or if you need an HDMI port. As it now stands, Apple’s Ipad is just a step above the competition based on performance power alone.
